ACU-300 - Actuator Control Unit

The Raymarine ACU-300 is a pilot actuator unit for hydraulic units and systems controlled via solenoids. Features a nominal 12V or 24V power supply and features a rudder reference sensor, Sleep switch sensor, power sensor, drive solenoid sensor.

Raymarine pilots come equipped with a sensor, in two versions EV-1 and EV-2, with high sensitivity able to detect all the variations of heading caused by the waves or the gust of wind.

This extreme sensitivity, combined with the computerized management of the ACU data, allows the pilot to work together with the rudder to different variables, such as speed, angle depending on the type of vessel and amplitude of variations suffered.

The SeaTalk auto-tuning and connection functions make the complete installation of the Evolution autopilot very simple, simply selecting the type of vessel, the type of steering (mechanical, hydraulic or off-board) and the level of precision (high, standard or simple). Once all these parameters have been determined, Evolution algorithms allow easy adaptation to the vessel, sea and wind conditions that are encountered, without the need for any calibration.

The ACU control unit connects via SeaTalk to the sensors and from this same unit, the power supply and indications to the hydraulic or mechanical power units.

This control unit is part of Raymarine's EV Sol Solenoid Pilot package which also includes the EV-1 sensor, the p70R control unit and the Evolution cabling kit.

The rugged ACU offers reliable autopilot actuation power. It has a power supply of 12V or 24V and a consumption of 300 mA in case of direct supply or 20 mA in a power situation via SeaTalkng.
