AR55M, 5.4 m (18 ft), side feed VHF Antenna, mast mount 0.15-30 MHz

AR55 is an efficient fiberglass receiving antenna for MF, marine coastal and HF bands. The AR55T versions is equipped with transformer, which acts as a matching unit to the feeding cable. The T modification is highly recommended when long feeding cable is necessary or when the antenna are to be used for low frequencies. Mounting:

AR55 is easily mounted to the bulkhead by means of 4 holes in the bronze bracket, or to a mast or tube with U-bolts. The U-bolts in stainless-steel are included. In order to mount the whip to the base section, use the spring washer and firmly screw the whip and base section together using a torque of 150 Nm. The Grub screw is then tightened, this prevents the top whip from unscrewing.

Suitable cable: RG8, RG213 or similar.

To increase effective height, or in case of emergency, the bracket is supplied with a terminal for external wire antenna.
